Discover the Healing Power of Yoga
Yoga therapy combines specific practices to enhance mental and physical health, promoting self-care and overall well-being for individuals seeking holistic wellness solutions.
What is yoga therapy?
Yoga therapy is the application of specific yoga practices to alleviate physical and mental health conditions with the view of promoting self-care and encouraging overall well-being.
Whilst a general yoga session in general aims to cultivate the body and mind, during yoga therapy specific yoga practices, known and evidenced for their benefits are used to help alleviate or improve mental and physical ailments.
The aim of Yoga Therapy is to promote good health for the person as a whole, the emphasis of this work may be towards the body, the mind, the emotions or a combination of all of these.

Transformative Yoga Therapy
"Rather than focusing on yoga methods and practices, yoga therapists fundamentally focus on their clients’ needs.
Their job is to understand why their clients have come to see them and determine what they can do to support them.
To help them in their work, therapists are trained to assess clients through listening, questioning, observing, and occasionally appropriately touching (always with permission).
Therapists look for ways to help their clients reduce or manage their symptoms, improve their function, and help them with their attitude in relation to their health conditions.
After assessing clients, therapists establish appropriate goals, develop a practice intervention, and then teach clients to practice that intervention.
In this sense, therapists choose yoga techniques in relation to how they will specifically benefit individual clients."
